Pre-1970 bikes *attempting* a cross-country adventure

Picking up a bike off ebay that was not quite "as advertised". Spending long days & nights tearing the thing down to the core, only to have to do so again, several times, on the road. Three pre-1970 Triumph motorcycles took us through sub-freezing temperatures, severe windstorms, and truly world-class scenery.

Actor Jason Lee, bike wizard Leif Lewis, and myself set out across the US with Super-8 motion picture cameras, Dr5-process 35mm still films, and a desire to capture the adventure in a more permanent way.

Riding around North Africa with the worldwide president of BMW Motorrad, absorbing the sights, sounds, and culture of Morocco... and a little volcanic ash on the way home.

Film Photography is Not Dead!

Had the privilege to work with actor Jason Lee in the creation of a 16mm film for the Texas-based band Midlake.

While there, I brought a host of film cameras, and shot materials for a box set, including a book, CD + 12" vinyl inserts, and DVD.

Just returned last night from a camping trip to the Owens Valley. Easily one of the most stunning places to ride and photograph in the world.

Last few weeks...

Haven't been keeping the blog updated much this past month because of a server FTP migration. Just completed that and can now post again, so before too long I should have brief posts of:

• Exploring an extremely green Baja, Mexico.
• Breaking down on pre-1970 Triumph motorcycles while trying to ride cross-country.
• Flying to Africa and riding around Morocco on & offroad with the president of BMW Motorrad.
• Getting stuck in Europe because of a volcano.
• Getting stuck in Yosemite because of blizzards.
• Watching people crash during the elimination rounds for at upcoming rally to be held in South Africa.
• And finally relaxing at an adventure rider gathering in Orange County.
