Tahoe Moto Adventure Rendezvous

The first annual Tahoe Adventure Moto Rendezvous took place recently in front of a very enthusiastic crowd.

4000 miles camping on a BMW through the western states leaves one smiling, and slightly unkempt.

Motorcycle luminaries Dick Mann and Jimmy Lewis spoke at a Q&A the final night to a captivated crowd. Amazing evening hearing from legends of the sport.

A detour on the trek to Tahoe led to a mid-day natural hotspring break.

Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route

Filming of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route recently wrapped up. Landscapes almost beyond description within easy reach of nearly any modern dualsport motorcycle will be featured in the upcoming film, along with a Butler map and downloadable GPS tracks.

My steed for this film was a 2012 BMW GS Adventure, seen here fully loaded with all camping, camera and computer gear necessary for the trip.

Also featured in the film is Yamaha's impressive new Super Ténéré, here ridden by Touratech's Paul Guillien.

"The rock and pool, is nice and cool..."

My typical daily commute was about 4 feet from the tent to the office on the bike. This of course does not include the hundreds of on and offroad miles relocating the office each day.

There were a few mishaps along the way. More than one of the bikes happened to demonstrate this in front of my lens...

A fantastic office environment...
